Jonas loves, loves, loves trains! I think it all started from the Disney Channel. They have Choo-Choo Soul and of course he loves songs.. But then he got a Geo-Trax for his birthday which brought the love to life. So expanding on this love of his I started singing the Casey Jr. song from Dumbo (which has become his favorite). Now this is the face you get whenever you mention the words train, Casey Jr, or toot-toot. Pure joy!! Oh and he loves that Casey Jr. carries his favorite animals; the tiger, the elephant, and the giraffes. I'm beginning to see Jonas starting to connect some of his world and he is being a little more interactive. At least with me. However...say two little words and it all goes away... "All Aboard". Joy is turned into nervousness and tears. Don't ask me why, have no idea. Jonas and I have been discussing it and trying to overcome whatever it is that is making him upset when I or anyone says it. Silly boy.

That is so cute!!! I don't know if you read my email but thanks again for the valentines. I think of you guys everyday.
Hey! Thanks for the note. I don't know why Lucy is not tolerating her breathing without the bipap lately. It may be because of the sickness she had? We aren't sure if it is that or if it is her new base. There are a few things we are wondering about but we are just keeping an eye on her. I would love the information for the mask that Jonas has, it is time we get a new one for Lucy. I am not sure why she had the breakdown...if it is from me wiping her face down with a wipe in the morning to get all of her dry spit, etc off of her face, like I said, We don't know!! Thanks for caring and giving me that information. I think it is so cute that Jonas likes trains! What a boy:) Big hugs to you all. Are you coming to the SMA conference in Santa Clara? It is only 10 minutes from our place.
The relationship you have with Jonas - the way that you "read" him and know him and care for him - comes across so powerfully in your posts. I'm really glad he has you for his Mom and Whit for his Dad, and that you both have him for a son. He couldn't ask for a better family.
My daughter (she's 4) always wants to know how Jonas is doing and read your posts with me. She showed me in the tub the other night how she can touch her feet together "just like Jonas." You are inspiring people all over. :)
Thanks for writing! We continue to pray for your family.
Love,
Cathy Groves
