Happy Memorial Day!

We've had a wonderful, chill weekend. Not much happened, but it was nice to focus our time even more as a family and spent some extra quality time together. I really wanted to go visit Jonas' grave everyday this weekend, but we only made it out Saturday and then again today, as well as all our grandparents.
We sure miss our sweet little Jonas. More so than ever, these past couple months, he's really been on our minds.
It's a little bit of a tradition for us to share some good memories that we have of the person we're visiting and it was sweet to hear my families about Jonas this year.
Arica remembers the time we were at Disneyland, riding the tram into the park and Jonas did his little Tarzan yell! She was like where's Tarzan?!
My mom remembers his sweet little face as she would try to carry him into the house from the car when I was pregnant...it was a tad bit scared looking, like I'm not sure you can do this Grammie.
My dad remembers going to Lake Powell and watching Jonas be in the water. At first he wasn't too in love with it and then he could see in his face as he had more and more fun.
Whit remembers while on our Make-A-Wish trip we had a chance to see the World of Colors show. We didn't have the greatest seats and so in order for Jonas to be able to see at all he held him in his arms the entire show. His arms and back were burning with pain, but he could see the joy and how much he was loving it and kept holding on.
I remember all the long Sundays that Whit would be at work and we were rather bored so we would go for a Sunday drive, all over the valley. Looking at houses, listening to music, talking to each other, just the two of us!
It was a good day, full of good memories!
This little stinker slept for all the memories...so cute though because this is not an everyday occurrence!
Then we decided to be wild and crazy and go ride the causeway out to Antelope Island. Maggie LOVED it and did so great in her TREK. She sat up the whole time, so great!!!

Oh Jonas' gravestone looks sooooo good. I haven't seen it in person yet. Livvy asked the other day when we were going to visit. I thought it was so cute.

I just love that grave stone. So perfect! I thought of you guys yesterday and sweet Jonas. I bet you miss him terribly - no words to explain. Magg's is such a doll. I just love her and I love you guys!

P.S. One of my favorite memories in this life will be when I got to meet Jonas at his viewing. I got to see him without any equipment on, and he looked so beautiful. Honestly, just like an angel. I got to put my hand on his little chest, and hold his cute little hand. I got to thank him for making a difference in my life forever. And I got to tell him I would one day see him again. I will always treasure that.

Love - Ash

Dear, dear, dear Jonas.

Never forgotten. At all.

And I loved the stories. I hope that more and more people tell you all the special things they remember about him.

I never met him in person - but I will never forget the first time I saw his eyes.

Jonas Eyes. Need I say more?

Love him always,

Cathy in Missouri
