Newport Trip

The highly anticipated Newport trip has come and gone. We were gone for 12 days and Jonas couldn't have done better. We started off going to Magic Mountain in the 110 degree heat. Grandma wins the trophy for Grandma of the Decade because she sat all day with Jonas and didn't ride one ride. Not what we intended but thats how it went. It was freakin' hot! We stayed at a really nice Hyatt and Jonas got to swim in the pool which he loved. Taylor and Arica got to share our room with Jonas and us. They withstood the high pitched noise that Jonas' machine makes when he sleeps. I guess it was better than snoring from the other room. (Dad)
We then traveled down to Newport and it was still freakin' hot! I have never been so hot at the beach before. The house was really hot and I didn't think Jonas would ever cool down. It did and we all made it. Jonas loved the beach and the water. No matter how cold he loves the water. I wish I could have let him swim in it. Anyway we did the usual beach thing, shopping, rode bikes to the Island, and more shopping. It was fun to see one of Whit's companions, Chris and his wife Amanda. They met us at the beach and taught Whit some things about boogie boarding.
We did Disneyland, of course, and loved ever minute of that. Jonas honestly loves being there. He loves the rides, even the ones that he shouldn't ride (Toy Story Mania), the fireworks, all the action that goes on. It was really nice to be there and think of happy things and times. I love to be there with family and to watch Max get excited about the characters and rides.
By the end of the trip Max warmed up to Jonas and me. He was wrestling with me and Logan and playing with Jonas and his toys. I love him. Especially when he yells, "think about stuff" while in the bathroom. He is a smart and funny little boy.
I really am glad that we were able to go. Thanks Mom and Dad for always making trips possible and extremely fun. When Jonas came out of his surgery for his G-tube and gave us a scare. I prayed that he could stay so I could at least take him to California and to see the beach and feel the water and sand. I am so grateful that I have been able to do that and so much more. It is a blessing everyday that I have him and I love every minute of it. It was a great trip!!!!

Lindsey-
I am not quite sure why they won't work... hmm. Make sure you reset your template to be "minima" and then go back and put the code in. I'll have to try and figure it out and get back to you.

Tell the family hi!
