To Phoenix without Jonas

This was my first trip without Jonas. My mom and I flew down for a couple of days to visit my brother's family in Phoenix. It was way fun, but it was weird not being with Jonas. My body still woke up at the time I normally do to turn Jonas. Instead, I got to shove Max over to the middle of the bed. I love how little kids like to snuggle in their sleep. No matter that you have a King size bed, they like the space right next to you. Jonas would have loved loved to hang out with Max and London all day. He would have sweated his guts out though..it's hot! Lindsay (my sister-in-law) was a great host! She made us great breakfasts, delicious dinners, and introduced me to Gellato ice cream. Yummy! She showed us all the great places to shop on a budget, sadly I brought back almost more than my carry-on could hold. Thanks Linds..you're awesome!
It was also so much fun to play around with Max and London. They are the best! Max is so smart and imaginative. I wish Jonas could watch him play all day..he would be greatly entertained.
I did get a pretty good smile when I got home! That's nice to know that he does like his mom. I don't doubt that he had a great time with out me though. We had our Nurse Kellie come and watch him during the days. From what it sounds like, I'm surprised Jonas smiled at me at all. Kellie is so creative and comes prepared to play. One day she brought her Casio keyboard...I bet that was fun. I really appreciate her taking the time and effort to play with Jonas. He can be one tough boy to please. Or at least to get him to express that pleasure. All we can do is try. So thank you too, Kellie! It made being gone more enjoyable.

Another reason why you're a good Mom...

Even though this post was about a trip to Phoenix, most of your thoughts were about sweet Jonas. I love it. I'm glad you had a getaway with your Mom to see family. Nurse Keilie sounds awesome.

I'm glad you got to have some fun! And so glad you have a good day nurse you can trust him with. That means everything in the world, I know.

It was so good to think of this time you and your Mom had together - I'm really glad you were able to do it!

And I'm sure that there wasn't a second when Jonas was out of your mind. How strange it must feel to be away when you two are constant companions. I'm sure that seeing him again was a treat for both of your hearts.

Thanks for all of your great posts! Your readers love you. :)
