With the craziness of the Christmas season, I feel like I am behind on a lot of posts that I would have liked to make. So in an attempt to catch up, here is a list of some of the things that have been going on in our lives.
* Whit MADE it through the hardest semester!!!!!! Whoopi. We are so proud of him. He worked really hard, sacrificed a lot, and came through having, so far, a straight A semester! We love you Whit and can't wait till you have a real job! Hehehe.
* Jonas' therapy visits have been approved by Medicaid. They did a good job halting them for a good 6 months, but now they have decided that they will pay. So Jonas now has to get use to the therapists again. He absolutely hates therapy. I feel so bad because he just cries the whole time. Luckily we have a really awesome PT that is also a certified infant masseuse. So instead of mean PT, Jonas got the best massage he's ever had. Wish I could have had one too.
Jonas has two Physical therapists, an Occupational therapists, a Speech therapist, and a Special Ed teacher that comes to visit him. You'd think that with all these people he would eventually get use to it. Let's hope this new year brings some calmness and acceptance of these services.
* We went to see the Temple Square lights downtown one night last week. I can't believe how many lights they put up. Jonas was in light heaven. He couldn't get enough and was trying so hard to see every possible light there was. It's such a beautiful place and I love being there with family. The Temple is such a beautiful symbol of eternal families. Always reminding me that Jonas, Whit and I will always be together. (of course all the rest of our family too, love you all!)
* Our GOAL was reached, actually surpassed!!!! Our grand total = $5, 208.16
What an amazing accomplishment! The total raised so far with the rest of the families is... $126,113.24. Hopefully this will help the stem cell clinical trials start as quickly as possible and as efficiently has needed. Jonas won't be included in the first group because he is too old. They will start with newborns-12 months. That is one reason why we wanted to get this going quickly, so that it potentially could open up to older children. We are grateful beyond words to all those that donated. Now here is my giant list of more wonderful people who topped off our goal line....
Angie Osness, Sue Laver, Scott Harrison, Nadine Taylor, Cathy Redd Thank you!!

i'm glad that he will be able to start pt again. oh and that chair that riley is sitting in is a Tomato seat. we've had the seat for about a year and I've actually kind of neglected putting him in it lately. we've been working on sitting up by himself. maybe one day he'll be able to. insurance will pay for it and i'm sure medicaid will too. you should ask your therapist about getting him one. they are really nice to have him sit up with every one else. also i wanted to know what kind of battery you use for the bipap. we need to get one.
