Some things we can’t know or see
Will become clear, eventually.
What has happened, why and how
We can’t understand for now.
Tragedy and happiness
Things that we can curse or bless
Break our hearts and test our will
We can’t comprehend and still
Somehow we go on each day
Learning to have faith and pray
For miracles and for relief
For signs that strengthen our belief.
These may come or they may not
In the time or way we thought.
At the point we would relent
Something quiet and heaven sent
Deep, deep down within the heart
Solitary and set apart
Tells us we will all be free
In God’s time, eventually.

so beautiful
It really is beautiful. Thank you!!
That is a really great uncle, one who understands and cares and shows it in such a beautiful way. Thank you for posting this, Lindsey!
You're on my mind a lot. Illness keeps me from putting a lot of comments in, but not from thinking about you and Jonas and Whit and the new baby.
Love,
Cathy
I love that poem. Mike was my Sunday school teacher and as you can imagine he was wonderful! I really liked going which is saying something for a teenager at the time.
