There are a lot of yucky, sad things in this world that a lot of people have to go through everyday. Some of those things have a cure, some of those things you can get better from and live a happy life, and some of those things you can't.
I hate SMA. You can't get better with SMA, only worse. There are medicines that we try to help slow down the process, there is medical equipment that will somewhat lengthen life, and bless our doctors who try with all their might, mind, and strength to find a cure, but it hasn't happened yet. And it hasn't changed the fact that in the end, we lose our precious little ones. I know that sounds negative, but on a day like today it gets to be said.
Today sweet little Brynlee finished her battle with SMA. She was one of Jonas' friends here in Utah.

what sweet words. Brynlee was such the fighter. This is all just such a shock. we will miss her so much!

You're not being negative - it is just the truth. SMA is horrible and what it does to kids is horrible and what it puts parents and families through is horrible.
You're right. No one should have to say goodbye to Brynlee or Jonas or ANY of these sweet kids. They have to fight so hard for life. I know life isn't fair, but this REALLY isn't fair.

Cute Brynlee. My heart aches for them and for you. I think it is so natural for you to feel like you are re-living Jonas's death all over again each time. I'm sorry it is that way Linds. How I wish I could bring Jonas back healthy and ready to outlive you and Whit. How I wish I could fast forward time until you are all re-united again. Something so that your heart did not ache so much. You are kind to be so involved with others who have children with SMA because I'm sure it's hard.
I love you guys and I think about you everyday because I have sweet Jonas on my fridge. I get asked about his picture all the time and I love telling others about him.
