This last trip to Disneyland also included a detour to see our nephew TJ
who just got home from a Navy tour in Bahrain. He was visiting his
parents in Corona, which is right on the way to DLand. How could we not
see him!! So we drove Whit's parents down with us and spent the day with
him before our Halloween party. It was so nice to see him, chat,
laugh...he's such a fun, silly boy!
It was so HOT...being that it's the middle of October, you'd think it would be a little cooler, but it was in the high 80's.
Eating lunch at a neat little place called Tom's Farm..kinda like a Gardner's Village here in Utah.
Saying Good-bye
More of Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party
We've never done this before, so we had little knowledge of what to expect. It was a new adventure and that was fun, but there were a couple things I was expecting more of.
1. Not so crowded. Even though these are extra tickets and they only sell so many, it still seemed pretty crowded.
2. More villains out and about. Maybe we were always in the wrong spot at the wrong time, but we really didn't see many characters.
Overall it was fun, we got caught up in collecting candy and so lesson learned if we ever go again..More rides for us. We did also spend time on things that were exclusive to the Party...
waiting for the Halloween Parade
Whit was going to stand no longer..waiting for the firework show
The Shadow Man...the only character we waited for. Hmph
We could have waited for more, but Maggie was asleep and it just doesn't seem right to do that without her.
THE NEXT DAY.... CAR'S LAND
Luigi's Flying Tires...it was pretty fun. A little hard to maneuver with Maggie, but Thanks to Whit we actually went places. It's all controlled with how you move your body.
They had the moves down! And the weight!
Mater's Junkyeard Jamboree...Maggie's all time FAVORITE. It whips you around and slides you all over and she did this all with the biggest smile on her face! We went on it about 5 times. It's a tricky one to hold her cause she has to sit on the seat, but we got it down. SO FUN!
This is Whit's attempt to snap a photo of us while on the ride..he was in another car.
Car's Land...fun, crowded, feels like you are walking down the real Radiator Springs street.

Um yep, cutest Alice EVER! Did you LOVE the PARADE? You know we have that parade gene from our mothers! Right? I can't believe how you look just like you were plopped right onto route 66! I can't stop giggling over the pic of Logan and your mom and dad, love it! So glad you could see family on the way down to visit your second family, we all know you could live there! Churros, mint juleps, pineapple whips for every meal, ahhhhhh :)
Wish we could've been there to see her smiling on that ride!! Miss you sweet girl!
