Picnic...We're not bored or anything

Last week Jonas and I went for a picnic..we found the best spot in the shade. I had the best Lynn Wilson burrito and Jonas had milk. It was such a nice day. Fall days are my favorite, but then again I love the beginning of every season. This was the amazing view we had from our picnic spot. Yep, that is the front of our house. We went really far. Can you see the amazing mini-van I get to drive. Wouldn't trade it for anything..not even my Mercedes. Jonas and I are getting pretty creative these days. This picnic wasn't without its 4th grade lessons. This post is for Palmer... my other science half. Miss you...
Funny thing is while I was getting the camera ready, Jonas pulled the leaf up like this all by himself. When I checked the picture I found this. It made me laugh!

Mom you are not very funny
This is grass... grass is a plant which is the beginning of the food chain
This is a wood chip.. which is a non-living thing..one day it will be named humus(not to be confused with hummus)
Tell me something I don't already knowThis is a leaf..a deciduous leaf to be exact coming from a deciduous tree... deciduous trees drop their leaves in the fall
This is a rock.. a non-living thing as well... would you want a pet rock... this is shale to be exact which is a sedimentary rock. Sedimentary rocks are formed by sediment layering on top of each other.

Jonas you have the best mom, you are so lucky. She is even very smart :) What a fun idea. That is farther than we go when we have a picnic. We go downstairs and watch a movie. He looks so good.

When I check in on the Coleman's, I am filled with deep admiration, reverence and amazement. Your family is an inspiration. Jonas melts my heart. I could stare at his beautiful eyes all day. He has the best parents on the planet... and I'm sure the feeling of "having the best" is completely mutual. You're in our thoughts and prayers. Let us know when you plan to take Jonas to "Disney world" (our side of the country now) and we'll meet you there :)

I wrote a long and funny comment, which has most irritatingly disappeared. Just stopped by to say that I miss you and that Jonas is adorable. I am glad that he won't answer wrong on the CRT's because he actually LISTENED. He knows that snakes don't have legs and that streams don't run uphill. His mommy is a smart cookie. Outside does wonders for the soul. I love outside. We did leaf rubbings this week. I got a sign that says Wisdoms comes from Wonder. That is just what your picnic was all about!
