REAL Salt Lake and Jonas

This saturday at Rice Eccles, REAL Salt Lake will be playing and it is going to be a SMA Friends and Family night. Nat Borcher( I think that is his last name) came to play for REAL Salt Lake this season and he has some ties to SMA. His godson has SMA type 2 and he has been really active with their family and doing fundraisers and stuff to help out. Now that he is in Utah he wants to help the Utah families with SMA and at least start to make it more known. We went to dinner with him a little bit ago and met some other families. All the families that came have children with SMA type 2.
Our doctor, Dr. Swoboda, wants the SMA type I children to be spotlighted too and she feels like not too many of our kiddos with type I will get to go to this game or others. Too crowded, too cold, RSV season, reasons like that. (We are planning on going...we will see how it goes) This game probably won't spotlight Jonas, but we'll be there to cheer when they talk about SMA. Our little buddy Karson, who is in the PICU and not doing the best, will most likely be talked about at this game.
What I am trying to get at is we should support REAL Salt Lake and if the game is on TV then look for us there. :) It is really nice to have someone who is willing to be a spokesman and do what they can for poeple he doesn't even really know. I am humbled by those poeple who go above and beyond to help others. Even if this doesn't directly help Jonas, who knows what can happen because of Nat.
