Sorry for not updating sooner. We thought that we would be home by now and crossing our fingers that today is the day. So here is the deal...Jonas was doing great Sat. but they wanted him to be here for a full 24 hours before they sent him home. Then Sat. night he dropped his oxygen saturations for a moment and that was enough for them to want him another night. So then on Sunday at around 5:00 Jonas peaked a temp. of 104, weird, so of course one more night. They never really ruled out that his pneumonia was bacterial we just assumed because they couldn't get an IV into him when we got here. Poor baby, they stuck him 5 times and dug around but nothing. Anyway... so far no bacteria is growing and they told us the virus test thingy came back neg. so the fever is throwing us for a loop. He was on antibiotics for two days so really there shouldn't be a temp, but I guess everything can't be textbook. Whit and I stayed here last night just to make sure that he had a good night, so that we could have every chance of coming home. Long and short..Jonas acts fine, we feel like he should be home, but the temp. thing makes us a little nervous, so we'll be waiting. Love you all, thanks for your concern. Sorry for no pictures...didn't bring the carger for the camera and not really feeling like taking too many pictures anyway.

ugh, again. those dang temps! hopefully he'll drop that and be fine ready for christmas!
Jonas is in our prayers (and so are you)! We are thinking of you every second. Thanks for keeping all of us updated! We LOVE you!
It was actually extremely comforting for you to "write when you were angry." I just got out of the hospital, and I know what you're talking about with that nurse.
Why doctors and nurses won't listen to the hard-won lessons of the primary caregivers is beyond me. Who knows better than *you* how to care for Jonas? And who has the most invested in keeping him stable and well?!! I was cheering you on when I read about that situation, and the way you stood up for what you knew was right.
But, obviously, what is most important of all is Jonas needing to get well. YOU STAY IN MY PRAYERS EVERY DAY. You've been on my mind more than ever, knowing the struggle you're in now.
Thanks for fighting for him and sharing it with us. You're helping in ways you probably don't even realize and inspiring others as they fight their battles, too.
Praying for you,
Cathy Groves
