Let's Think Back to Christmas 2011

As usual I'm so behind, but for journaling purposes let's take a look back at our final days of Christmas.

Grammie's Birthday Bowling party
This year we went bowling in the dark with the lights and music. Kind of fun for about 10 minutes. It was hard to visit with family, but at least we went bowling. Couldn't miss that!
 Happy Birthday Mom!

Christmas Eve
This year we had Whit's family over for dinner, a Christmas video and of course some Just Dance. This family is full of amazing dancers! We had a great time together!
Maggie and Megan had an amazing conversation. Seriously Maggie hadn't been that vocal in awhile. The two of them were so cute! Thanks Meg, what an awesome cousin you are!
Helping to spread our Reindeer dust

Cute Jammie time...typical little girls, no looking at the camera
It was actually a pattern for Maggie...I'm thinking she could have cared less about the significance of the evening. Next year we better see some better Christmas spirit Maggie!

Christmas Day
Landing on a Sunday and having 9 o'clock church made for a very different Christmas this year. Normally opening presents is the very first thing we do and then the day goes on from there. Of course we could have skipped church, but you know...isn't that what this holiday is really about, Christ's birth. Whit was also asked to speak at our meeting, so we had two reasons to make it to church.
Peeking at our stockings for a minute before church was as far as we went. Which Maggie really liked! Whit gave a great talk and soon enough we were back in our jammies, talking over the ipad with the Mathies in Florida, and opening some presents. Maggie actually napped while we opened ours and then finished the rest later.

Wishing Santa would have brought her Uncle Logan's new ukelele instead
But Santa did bring her the doll that Mom couldn't find...good old Santa!

Oh and this was our 3rd outfit of the day! Just because!
I thoroughly enjoyed this season. I can't wait for another one with Maggie! Maybe we can teach her to be excited and smile every now and then :). Of course we missed Jonas, but he's always in our hearts...actually we put out his stocking with all of ours and that sweet Santa brought out his Pooh Bear and gave him our traditional orange in his stocking.
This was a Christmas to remember!

I heard that Whit's talk was wonderful. It was a real highlight of Christmas for our Bubba and Nanna. I wish we could have been there to hear.

In other news, your little dolly looked so cute in her dress and Christmas jammies! I'm happy you had a memorable Christmas! And I would love to know, what is reindeer dust!?!

So glad you all are feeling better and were able to celebrate! I have been thinking about you and just haven't gotten to say anything in all the rush of the end of the year.

Love to you, Sweet Maggie Boo! (And her sweet parents. :)
