Wait..What..Oops..

Ah man! I'm the worst. I have already forgotten Jonas' birth date. I was so excited to tell him, Happy 14 Month Mark since I completely missed his 13th. I wrote it down on the calendar, I was planning to make cupcakes, take pictures... and then Whit brought it to my attention that we missed his birthday again. I smugly replied..no we didn't it's tomorrow the 4th..as soon as the words came out I knew I was wrong and I had missed it. The 4th is not his birth date, that's mine and somehow it got into my head as his. Oops. So there you go..I'm the worst.
I can't believe that he is 14 months old! He is still my newborn boy. I guess even Jonas has to grow up...

He now grows a beard in the bath
He likes to try and get the camera now and loves watching himself on the little videos
He helps me wash the dishes
He hangs out in his wagon and holds onto his beads while I make dinner.

Whit and Family,
It was so great to get your note on our blog. Thanks for finding us! We really appreciate the nice comment. What a beautiful little boy you have! He is so big! I can't believe he is 14 months. I feel like it was just yesterday when I saw him in the PICU and he was just a baby. He is so cute. What an amazing family you are. I have just read a couple of your posts, and I am amazed and very touched. I truly hope the very best for your family. Whit, we can't tell you enough how great you were with us and Kynslee. We really appreciated all you did for us. Since most of Kynslee's life was spent in the hospital, we really came to appreciate great nurses (and techs, since I think that is what your title was!). You were just so great and thoughtful and we knew Kynslee was in good hands. Thanks so much. My friend Jeanette told us you are in nursing school with her. I hope you always get to work in the medical profession because you were so great and the families deserve someone like you. God bless you and your family.
Love,
Ben and Teea Lamb

Although I haven't written in a while, I check in frequently. I ALWAYS love the pictures and the posts and am pretty well convinced Jonas is one of the cutest little boys on the planet - and he could even run for cutest girl, too, if your hairdressing photos are any indication. :)

If you feel like it at some point, would you consider writing some posts to help other people know the best ways to relate to someone in your situation? What I mean is, things that have happened (or things people have said or done) that really encouraged/helped/supported/made a hard road easier, as well as things that are not so positive that others might not realize? Another friend of mine who is in a wheelchair did some posts like that, and they were really helpful and instructive.

I thought of you, and would love to get your take & pointers. Because of what your family is dealing with, you are in a "school of endurance" that has a lot to teach others, too.

If this isn't something you'd enjoy sharing about, ignore this request and know I won't mind a bit. :) Just thought I'd ask in case you had some thoughts and wanted to post them.

You really are great parents and Jonas is a gift to all of us because you share him. Thanks so much. He is someone SPECIAL, and so are you.

You're always in my prayers,

Cathy Groves

Hi guys, I got my blog done by Rebeccas creations. Her button is on my blog. But you do have to pay for it. She sometimes gives deals to people like us with sick kidos.

I love those pictures of Jonas!!
He is so dang cute. Dr Schrothe that pulmonologist from WI had primarys give us a plastic sleve that goes over the mask. I didn't like it because it made the mask slip so I took it off and that's when he got the sore. I had to put it back on because his nose was so bad.
We would really appreciate it if you could help us get a diff mask.
Our prayers are with you as well.
Love Jody
