Don't let this smile fool you...our little Jonas has the H1N1 virus.I think that we caught it at it's early stage, so hopefully we can move past this quickly. Luckily, Jonas has had the first shot in his body for a couple of weeks. This has given his body a chance to develop some sort of an immunity, so maybe it won't be so bad. He started with a low grade fever on Sunday night and a higher heart rate, but other than that everything else was fine. Our hopes was that he had another ear infection. The pediatrician said that one of his eardrums didn't look completely normal and he wasn't showing any other signs so we went with the diagnosis of an early ear infection. To be on the safe side and avoid another trip to the office, we took a sample and sent it off. The rest is history.
Jonas is actually doing pretty good so far. He is a little irritable now and then, but I feel for the most part he is still himself. I guess a commom pattern with this H1N1 is that it has a pretty easy start and then bam it hits you. We are praying that we don't ever see that 'bam'.

Poor Guy! Hopefully it wont hit him hard, and we will see you this weekend :)
I have high hopes you won't get the "bam" because I'm hearing about a lot of people who never get very sick at all with H1N1. Several confirmed cases in friends of mine have been very mild - started mild and stayed that way. Now, that's what we need for Jonas, if he has to have it at all!
