We have been having such a nice time this Thanksgiving break that I've hardly had a moment to sit down and blog about it. Whit has had 5 days in a row off... oh has it been great! We were able to do some much needed home chores and some quality family time.
As for our Thanksgiving feasts, they were delicious and the company was more than splendid! My parents provided the first great meal, which included my extended family. My dear sweet Uncle Bill was able to join us, which is such a blessing! He has cancer and has done all that he can to fight it, unfortunately all that he can isn't enough and his battle is coming to an end. We are always praying for a miracle in our family and he is part of that prayer, but we also know that when it is his time, it's time. He has always been a great example to me and I cherish every memory that I have of him. It was an extra special day to have his company once more at our Thanksgiving dinner.
That night we ate another great Thanksgiving dinner at my in-laws. Whit's Aunt Kathy and Uncle Keith joined us, making our group a party of six. I don't think that I've ever had a Thanksgiving with that small of a group, it was nice! Our usual tradition of going to a movie Thanksgiving night has long passed since Jonas has come, but we were able to watch a movie with Mike and Merri (Grandma and Grandpa) that evening. That was enjoyable as well!
As I reflect back on everything I am grateful for, it's a little overwhelming to think about writing it out. I can easily say that a blessing that I am most thankful for is one that we give thanks for every night in our nightly prayers... for Jonas. To be able to have had all of these many days with him.
We are truly Thankful!

Sounds like you had a great holiday. So fun you got to spend so much time together. Makes it hard we live so far away when I see how big he is getting. Can't wait to hold him, when are you coming down for a visit!?! ;)
