The saddest accident

Poor Maggie this is just not her month. Yesterday while running errands and such...Whit accidentally shut Maggie's foot in the sliding door of our van. OUCHIE!!!!! Don't know exactly how that happens, but that's why it was an accident. Poor Maggie was shocked and in a lot of pain. Her foot immediatley had a huge bruise on it and you could tell that it was already starting to swell. We thought her foot was broken for sure.

We headed right for the ER at Primary's. She calmed down on the ride there, but if you touched it one bit or if she tried to move it herself, she would breakdown again. I am so grateful the ER wasn't busy, isn't it just the worst place to sit and wait! We got there at about 2:45 and was discharged at 4:30. By the time she got some motrin in her..she calmed down and didn't really cry again. She is such a brave little girl, she did so great during the x-ray! She didn't even need me to be by her. In the end, it wasn't broken..Thank goodness!! Just a contusion and a bruise. They wrapped a cute little ace bandage around her foot just for some protection and off we went. Whit was sick to his stomach all afternoon and night long. Her foot was very tender all night, but what a relief the motrin and tylenol were to her. Her good daddy made sure that she didn't go a moment without one of those all night long. This morning she is doing well. I gave her a bath, washed her little toesies which she tolerated very well. It's a sad looking bruise, but I'd take a bruise over a broken foot. Poor, poor Maggie Boo!
