The last time we saw these June Visitors was exactly a year ago! And it has been a year too long! We crave time with them and cherish every minute spent with them. Who are these wonderful people you ask.... it would be my family from Florida! All of them minus my brother...dang residents they get no fun time. It was the first time we got to meet my 6 month old nephew, William, and he is THE cutest little boy on the planet. He is the happiest baby, so smiley and giggly all the time. Maggie, of course, wasn't too sure about him..he was very strong and if he got a hold of Maggie's hand, it was like playing Uncle and Maggie would loose every time. She did like it when he would cry...mean girl. Maggie did however adore her other cousins , Max and London, without any hesitation. She did have a little special connection with Max, maybe because we got to spend a little more time with him. Lots of fun was had with all of them. Swings were a big hit
Max was the nice one who let the girls hog the swings...so he would monkey around!
Some good night just hanging outside, chatting, throwing some poppers..
Maggie trying to give Will a second chance. This night we made some homemade ice cream and with the remaining rock salt ice water decided it would be fun to stick our hands in it and see who could stand it the longest. Wish I would have gotten some of those pictures. Who's idea was that again?!
One of the perks of having cousins here is Maggie gets to do things with someone other than her just mom. Like the Zoo. We couldn't pass up seeing the new Polar Bear exhibit. So my mom and I took Maggie, Max, and Lodon and ventured out in the heat and with all the other moms in the valley to see the new exhibit. This is the day that London started to not feel good and slept the whole time. We thought it was just nap time, but by the end realized it was more than that. Poor girl! Max and Maggie still had a pretty good time together.
Look closely in the background...the polar bear was diving, splashing and coming right up to the window. It got a little crazy with kids in their and I hate to say it but people aren't nice. It's every man for himself and every mom shoving their kids in front of others so they can see. Not even taking a second to see who they might be blocking. Hopefully we can go again when it's not so crazy or when people decide to relax a little. Will that ever happen??
We did get lucky to see pretty clearly this seal swimming in circles. I think he was humming...just keep swimming, just keep swimming, what do we do we swim, swim...
Maggie was happy as could be just watching the water. Sea World might be a must.
The giraffes were cute
But not much else beat Max drinking out of the Lion fountain....Maggie thought that was the funniest thing ever. I wish you could zoom on her face to see that smile.
These two stinkers are best buds and Max knows just what to do to make her laugh.
Then we introduced Max to Talking Ben on the ipad so he could laugh! Oh Maggie so serious.
Boating!
We were so excited that we could make this happen. It was a horrible boating day though. So so windy...no need to get in the water because the wind would spray it on you no matter where you were. And boy was it cold water!! Lindsay, Max, and London found that out for us when they all jumped in. This will take your breath away!
All the kids got a chance to ride on the tube, even Maggie. It was kind of a short trip, but fun all the same.
Pirate Will
The girls minus Grammie :(
Classic Max and Maggie...she loved when he would come out of no where.
The Utah Natural History Musuem
This is a new building and it was so awesome! We went rather late, so it was a quick run through before it shut down.
This is a funny picture because those of us around Maggie all the time, forget that babies are really strong and they pinch! Will acting like no big deal...I'm just pinching Papa :)
Whit actually made it in time to see some of it with us. Yay for daddy!
Went to visit Jonas and the kids were so sweet to bring him some colorings that they made for him. In the end those became paper airplanes that were fabulous to play with while hanging out. Jonas would have wanted that! Max was darling as he said to Jonas..."we sure miss you Jonas"... isn't that the truth.
Our last night together and boy was it hard to say good-bye!
Our last effort...we were determined for Maggie to love Will. I think it worked a little....but then they left. I guess they will have to come back real soon. Hopefully not another year in-between. We're trying to save our pennies to see you guys too! Thanks Mathie's we love you so much! You made our June one of the best ever! We had so much fun showing you City Creek, swimming, seeing Brave for the first time, our snow cone trip, and all the hot tub time warming our toes. Thanks for the memories!!
