Independence Day!!

Oh it was such a fun 4th of July! 

Not much happened, pretty chill, but great quality family time. 

We did get to go up to the mountains, Brighton to be exact, and do a wee bit of hiking. We ate first of course...it was suppose to be the Brighton Breakfast which we learned has not been going for a couple of years. Kinda sad, another tradition bites the dust. But something sort of similar has taken it's place, it was so-so. The air was actually a little nasty from the fire that was going on the other side of the mountain. So like I said, we did just a little bit of hiking. We put Maggie in her baby bjorn...yep, she looked like a 4 year old in there, but it worked for the small amount of time we needed.  

 Aren't the rocks beautiful...I think they pulled them right out of disneyland..or is it the other way around?

 Yea..she was mad because we weren't moving. stinker :)

 How dare you interrupt my picnic time by mowing the lawn...

 way goofy face! just a little bit of practicing

 Someone took a bit of my cupcake, while we were having a BBQ and watching The Sandlot on the computer!

 We took it easy with the fireworks and stuck with the sparklers.

 

 

 Maggie was her serious self, but I think she was really interested in them.

Then when the neighbors busted out the cool big ones, Maggie threw in the towel.

What a fun day!
