Happy 5 Month and 1 Day Birthday!!

I can't believe that Maggie is already 5 months old! Are you kidding me! Time with her is flying by. I love this little girl!
She smiles all day long and if she's not smiling then she's blowing raspberries and creating a puddle of saliva on her chin.She's chubby, but yet petite.
She is a champ at her cough assist. Doesn't cry one bit. Bi-pap...that's a different story.
She's trying, but puts up a fight all night long. I hope she can learn to be a good sleeper like her brother was. Please be a good sleeper, like your brother.
Why is it that your heart won't let go of things you know aren't possible?
We were hoping that we could alter her course of this disease, which we have, but not as long as I think we were hoping.
We went and visited Dr. Swoboda today and she is most definitely showing signs of Type I and even has progressed in the disease.
Not to be completely a downer, we couldn't be happier with what she can still do. It's so much more than what dear Jonas could do. But how long can we keep that?? No one knows. We are doing everything we can and only time will tell.
It's far too easy to think of the future. The future that isn't so unimaginable anymore. Because of Jonas that reality is very imaginable, we've been there, we've done that. It's very real. What kind of life would I live if all I ever thought about was that future? So with every effort possible I think of the day at hand. What Maggie can do today and only today and I'm grateful. I did it with Jonas and I will do it with Maggie!
