Christmas Eve

Well, like I mentioned we moved Christmas Eve morning. Bright and early we started unloading our trucks and trailers into our new home. My cousin and family, the Nykamps, were the first there and got a lot of the work done. More and more people started coming and before you knew it..we were done.
Again so many Thank you's to give! We would have been up until Santa came and maybe even longer if we didn't have all the help. You all are better than the best! Thank you!

Not knowing how our day would turn out we didn't know how the actually Eve would be. Thanks to family we were welcomed to two parties. First we headed over to my aunts, had our DELICIOUS dinner and great entertainment provided by the children. Maggie was asked to be baby Jesus, but we got paranoid and opted out. Besides baby Jesus was a boy and Maggie is a girl, duh. At least that's how some the of the kids felt. Not that they didn't want Maggie, but it didn't make much sense to them.
Then we caught up with Whit's family caroling and finished the night with them.
We had a great Christmas Eve, but among all of this happiness there was sadness behind it. This whole night we both couldn't stop thinking about Jonas. Moments throughout the night Whit and I would look at each other and we would know what the other was thinking. During the Nativity story Jonas should have been there as a wise man like before. He should be singing Away in a Manger, his favorite. We probably wouldn't have gone caroling because it would have been too cold for Jonas, but we could have tried. He should have written a note to Santa and left cookies and milk with Maggie. Jonas and Maggie could have had at least one Christmas together. It breaks my heart that that didn't happen. It's the start of many Christmas' without Jonas and that just stinks.

What a beautiful little girl! She's just darling. I'm so sorry that your two beautiful angels couldn't be together this Christmas.

Thanks for letting me read your blog. I just wanted you to know that you've touched my heart, and I think you are an amazing woman for being so strong.
Thank you for always being positive, even when you're sharing things that aren't.
I hope you had a Merry Christmas, and remember that you can make this next year a great one. You have a special angel looking out for you.
