Well now that it's been almost a month I can begin blogging about our vacation to Lake Powell. :)
This particular trip reminded me of why I love Lake Powell. The past year with Jonas being so electrically dependent and myself being pregnant, it was a little more difficult. Kind of not fun even. Although I missed Jonas immensely, it was a nice change to not have to worry in that same way again. Maggie did so so great and I could tell that she was really enjoying herself. We had great company with Logan's friends, Arica's siblings, and of course the rest of the family. Whit wasn't able to take off from work the whole time and so I flew solo with Maggie for the first 3 days. It wasn't too bad, nights are the only difficult time. Whit is amazing with Maggie at night and pretty much runs the show. We missed him, but managed to still have a good time. I was grateful for my dad and Taylor for helping me with the generator business. Not very many pictures from the first three days. Kind of hard to take pictures and swim with Maggie in the lake at the same time. Don't worry we made up for it when Daddy got there. So now here's the story in pictures...

We actually got to go on a little hike with Maggie! It was just perfect!
Good morning sunshine!!
Our new BFF Ali V.
This little girl loves to swim and she loves the life jacket!
Not quite as much as she loved this ice cream cone at the Marina... she wouldn't stop licking it! She watched me eat it at first and was just looking at me with those little eyes saying I want to try that. She would pull it close to her, stick her little tongue out and lick away. SO CUTE and amazingly awesome that she could do that. Note she did NOT want to eat Daddy's chocolate cone, gross. That's my girl!
First Camp fire!
First tube ride...loved it!
Cute Eden who held her while Whit and I realized that we are getting too old for tubing. Not so brave as we get older.
Mashed potatoes on the face is better than in the garbage I guess.
I'm not quite sure who this man is that we are taking our picture with... one word... ugly, right?
Maggie even had to cover her eyes the mustache was so scary!
First time at the ruins!! Love that she could do this with us.
Aunt Arica going swimming with Maggie
There she goes! All by herself
Don't worry we weren't too far behind
did I tell you that she loved swimming in the Lake... well she did.
Leave it up to Daddy to go swimming with just the diaper...her new head float was a big success!
Enjoying the night playing a game of charades!
Gosh she's such a big girl now! We can't tell you how thrilled we are with what she can do. It's not perfect and it's not long lived, but it's just enough to make a difference for her and us.
Finally a picture with Grammie and Papa! Grammie was fighting a cold and was keeping a very safe distance from Maggie :(
Oh beautiful Lake Powell! Maggie loved you!
