Maybe the Trip Can Finally Begin

Now that we've gotten the hospital visit out of the way, our minds are a little more at peace, we ease into the rest of the trip. Don't relax to much though because it isn't smooth sailing. Every night I woke up with something different going on...an earache (sat in the bathroom with a hot washcloth to my ear for a long time), sore throat, an upset tummy, coughing spells for the remainder of the nights.) I actually wasn't to upset about it all because I was just so thrilled and grateful that it wasn't Maggie! I've always said that I would take her illnesses for her in a heartbeat. Of course being in such close quarters, it was inevitable that Maggie started showing some symptoms and not tolerating this many days at Disneyland as we had hoped. Dear, sweet, amazing, wonderful Whit took on all the work and so if you ask him how things went, he probably has a very different answer than mine.
Regardless of all that though, we still managed to have some pretty awesome moments. Moments I wouldn't ever trade. Moments that I am going to focus on and say that we had a worthwhile trip.

A Little Disney...a Little Newport Beach
Monday we thought we'd start our day off with a couple rides at Disney and then finish the day out in Newport Beach. Once we got there we couldn't leave. So the next day we started out in Newport first and then ended in Disney.
What was our first ride?... Mater of course!
 Ariel too!
Alice in Wonderland
The new Fantasyland Theater show..Mickey's Magical Map...Awesome!! A must see
Photo of the day...my dad was taking our picture and a duck, in like slow motion, took off flying right behind my dad. On of those definitely had to be there moments, but looked as if the duck was attacking him and you can see by our reactions it was funny. Maggie of course is only somewhat impressed.

We checked out of our first hotel and got ready to go to the next.
But first classic Balboa Island shopping and Balboa Bar treat. Maggie still can't resist a taste.

Our Little Cowgirl. Could have sworn I took video.
Crossing on the Ferry, headed over to Ruby's for lunch. Really windy and not super warm, so pictures just didn't happen the rest of the night. We checked into the Disneyland Hotel this night and headed over for some dinner at California Adventure.
