Princess Maggie and all the other Princesses

Today was filled with such great moments, its the kind of day that keeps us wanting to coming back all the time. We got a great early start with breakfast at Carnation Cafe (our first of many reservation dining that we spoiled ourselves to) then headed right off to the Princess Fair to see if Maggie had changed her opinion on seeing her favorites in person.
By the look on her face it hadn't changed much! She actually talked to Cinderella a little, it's just getting close to them is a little much.
Princess Aurora has a good memory and said we've met before.
More than seeing the princesses, she loved talking about seeing them while Daddy and her skipped around Rapunzel's tower.
Maggie's all time favorite movie at the moment is Princess and the Frog! We had to go see if Tiana was around and of course she was!

Another Great Alice Moment
I don't know what it is, but Alice in Wonderland is our personal Magic Maker. She is the sweetest, kindest, tender character to both Maggie and Jonas. We had a little snag in our day when the boys had to go back and pack up our luggage to change rooms. Our room had a real funky smell and I didn't think I could last 5 days with that smell. So the girls stayed back, walked around, hung out and enjoyed the atmosphere. While we were just chillin by the castle, I wasn't even paying attention when out of nowhere I hear, "Oh is it naptime over here?" I look up and there is Alice talking to Maggie.
Maggie was being a grump at that moment and was not very nice to Alice, but Alice didn't seem phased at all. She asked if she could sign her book, get a picture and then tucked her in her stroller for a nap! So cute! They always amaze me with their willingness to go out of their way to make some Magic for someone. Maggie may not have received the love very much, but it warms my heart to see a perfect stranger treat Maggie in such a loving way.

Had to see Belle...we figured out it helps Maggie be a little more comfortable when she can watch them for awhile before approaching them.

Throw a Fairy Godmother in the mix...Maggie must have been a little disappointed that she didn't get a princess dress from her, that must explain the no smile.
She does love to ride the carousel and the music on it is her favorite!
Seeing Rapunzel was so-so, but seeing Rapunzel's room was much more entertaining to her! Maybe I need to do some painting in her room.
I
Oh I guess I could look at Rapunzel now..only for a second though. So much more to see around me.
Maybe if they sang her a song and did a little dance maybe then she could give them a smile.

Princess Merida might have won this little girls heart!
What was meant to be just a quick Hi, picture and be on our way turned into much more than that.
Merida acted as if we were the only ones there and spent such quality time with Maggie.
She told her a story about her brothers and talked her about her nails.
Maggie even had enough time to soak it all in and start trying to talk back to her. Telling Merida her own story and what she thought of the whole thing.

The whole group was in agreement that she was one of the most beautiful princesses we've ever seen. We said our goodbyes and then let Merida move on with her other vistiors. While we were getting Maggie back settled in her chair and having a quick discussion of what to do next, we hear Merida again asking Maggie if she would like to go on a little walk with her!
Merida took her little hand and we followed her back to where she needed to go get some more haggis for lunch.

Maggie never let go of her hand until she had to

This is just so touching! I am sitting here with tears streaming down my cheeks at the magic these people create for children, and especially for Maggie and Jonas.

so fun! I love how the characters take extra time for these special kids. Our favorite was Cruella Deville, oddly enough. She was so funny and could have entertained Riley all day.
