Did I mention this was a long trip? Well it was and we have a ton of pictures. Actually I always wish for more, but I think Whit would throw the camera in the garbage if I tried.
Our next couple of days we tried to take it easy since at this point I had a terrible sounding cough and had pretty much lost my voice. Other than those two symptoms I felt great. Maggie started acting a little different as well and we still had more days to go.
So we took our time and rode the Monorail, something Maggie enjoyed.
Rode the Autopia cars for the first time! It was a nice, squishy, bumpy ride.
Luigi's Flying Tires
Great therapy for Maggie...lean this way, lean that way. She was a pro by the end.
Spoiling ourselves with our second reservation lunch....can you guess who we are waiting for?
You got it...Ariel at Ariel's Grotto. The last time we went here, Maggie was anything but thrilled to see the princesses. She was also pretty little. Here's the post from the last time. We've had a chance to get to know the princesses a little more and a little older too, so we thought maybe she would actually enjoy it this time.
It was a definite improvement...there was a little smirk, a little talking and most important no crying.
Snow White was the clear winner...lots of talking to her.
The days were starting to get hot in the afternoon, so a nap in the room was becoming more appreciated than before. The Tea Cups were a great ride to start with after coming back into the park.
Something much more interesting was going on while we were waiting for the ride to begin....Mickey's Sounsational Parade! It was kind of the perfect spot to watch as it went by.
Once the ride started she was sort of pulled out of parade watching mode...
until she spotted another float...good thing we had some awesome photo bombers in this picture.
I can't ever get enough of our Dumbo photo...someone's showing a little shoulder.
The FSMA conference began this night and I felt so awful that we had to
skip out on so much. It just wouldn't have been responsible of me to go
around all our little friends.
The next day was Whit's kind of day...pretty much no pictures. I can't remember why exactly. It wasn't our best day.
In true 2 year old form, she has become not a fan of the Bug's Life show. Cried through the whole thing. It is a bit scary, I have a 17 year old brother who just got over being scared of it last year. So we understand.
Our third reservation was at the Blue Bayou. I was really excited to take Maggie here because where you sit is her favorite part of Pirates of the Caribbean ride. It always reminds her of Princess and the Frog. Silly reason I guess, it didn't work out as well as I was wishing. It was her worst night and so watching Princess and the Frog on her iTouch was must more entertaining while on her Trilogy. The food is good there! I'll spare you all the pictures of our food, cause I think that is sort of lame, but I guess the delicious Key Lime Pie is worth it.
Always thinking of Jonas, we had to ride Casey Jr. and that was the last one for Maggie for the day. She was spent.
Honestly I think Maggie could have been in the room all day and had as much fun as being in the park because of the MOST AWESOME headboard. Ok, so maybe not really, but she never tired of listening to the music box like music and watching the fireworks light up. It was a life savor many nights as she was so tuckered out, it helped us get through treatments.
I need to call them and special order one for her room. Do you think they would sell me one? I wish!!
