1st day of Disneyland Day 3

Disneyland was getting ready for the Holidays and it was fun to see all of the decorations. Now Jonas has seen all the different ways Disneyland is decorated. Halloween, Christmas, and just normal. We were very excited to get going and I know Jonas was too. Lately he has been doing a good job vocalizing a "YES" and when I asked if he was ready and excited to go to Disneyland, there was a definite "YES". I wish now that I could have captured that on video.

She's discovered her tongue

A trip to Disneyland doesn't vary too much from trip to trip. We kind of do the usual routine. Go on rides, meet characters, eat, go on rides. This time we took it very easy and tried to do somethings that we've never done. This particular day we ventured over to Tom Sawyers Island. It was really fun going exploring with Jonas. We went into the caves, which was a tight fit, but we made it. We walked around the Fantasmic stage, looked at waterfalls, watched the steam boat go by, and tried a new handicap lift. One thing about Jonas is that he is so curious. You can just watch him take it all in. He will try his very hardest to see all that he can. That is why we take risks. That is why I want to go places with him, so that he can experience all that he can.
It was a cave! Very spooky and dark, Jonas loved it!
Kind of fun this lift, you run it all by yourself. All just to get down two steps
I would say this Jungle Cruise experience was the best. I could see really see the curiosity in his eyes and processing it all.

New characters added to our autograph book!
Aladdin
Jack and Sally
I love when they have a conversation with him and talk so kindly. Some are better at it than others. These two were super sweet.
But above all other events of the day this was truly a magical moment, meeting Alice in Wonderland.
Alice is one of Jonas' favorite, I would dare say maybe THE favorite. We saw her and knew we needed to go say hi. There wasn't really a line, just some of us gathering around, trying to form a line and Alice came right over to Jonas. She knelt right down next to him and asked him if they've met before. And they have! This is the same Alice who so kindly sang him the Unbirthday Song for him last year. She remembered him and went above and beyond to make him feel special. She is the sweetest Alice and talked and talked to him and Jonas talked right back. She made our whole day. We could have left right then and there and felt complete.
It was a great day!

We have our own special "Alice" moment with Belle when we went to Disney World for Millie's Make A Wish. It is moments like this we will remember forever! What an amazing person. I'm sure she can't quit grasp how special that was for not only Jonas, but you. I will always have a special place in my heart for Belle (she snagged Millie and rode the carasoul with her over and over again). I hope today you are able to remember all the amazing memories you were able to make with Jonas. Your family amazes me.
