Make A Wish * Day 1 & Day 2

We actually started our trip a day early for a couple of reasons.
1. We had to drive and having Maggie, who actually needs to eat, it was going to take us a little longer to get there. Jonas is very good at pushing through and making a 11 hour trip look easy, but Maggie made us nervous. So we decided to take it easy and split the journey.
2. This way we could also see our niece, Megan, play in her soft tournament in St. George. Of course you never leave when you want to and we only got to see the last half of one of her games. We could have stayed late, but I hesitated making the kids start their trip exhausted. After getting all set-up for bed, Whit did head back to watch the later games.

Make A Wish rented us a van so that we wouldn't have to put the miles on our car. The drive was so much better than I anticipated. Maggie did awesome. I'd say only once on the way there and the way back did she have a breakdown. Jonas has taught her well, already!

We completed the rest of the drive Sunday morning and arrived at Disney's Grand Californian Hotel. A special thank you to Jenni for making that possible! It is a luxury getting to stay that close to the parks making the trip just that much easier and for that I am so grateful. My parents and brother were so nice to follow along, paying their own way. Very helpful because I don't think we would have ever made it without their baby holding/feeding skills. We would have probably made it to the park at noon and then to bed by midnight because of all the 'things' we have to do and having a baby who likes to be held. Anyway, when we arrived they had balloons for Jonas and a special package with all the details.
He was very impressed with the balloons! We went out to eat at the Rainforest Cafe and then headed back in early so that we'd have the energy needed for the days ahead.Maggie having her first and last hotel sink bath. I never got to do this with Jonas and have always wanted to. Don't ask me why, just because I guess.
When we came back we found another package for Jonas. Inside was a birthday pin (funny because it's not his birthday) and a signed picture from Winnie the Pooh and gang. He really liked that! What a way to start the trip!

Oh I forgot, the night before our wish granters, Sarah and Stew, brought over a bunch of stuff for Jonas to help him get excited and ready for his trip. CD's and DVD's for the car ride, Buzz Jammies, books... Aren't volunteers just wonderful!!Thanks guys!
